MapúaWorld 2009 Comes to Houston, Texas -
Looking Back, Moving Fast Forward
TO US HOUSTONIANS:
Looking back: On July 20, 1969 when Neil Armstrong landed on the moon, the first words from the moon broadcasted throughout the universe were: "Houston, Tranquility Base here. The Eagle has landed."
Moving fast forward: Unbridled energy has always been Houston's trademark. The forceful, wildcatter temperament transformed Houston into USA's fourth-largest city. It is a world energy center that helped pushed exploration into outer space.
TO US MAPÚANS:
Looking back: College life at Mapua Institute of Technology was a testing ground. We all experienced the tranquility of failing miserably (although to some, college life at Mapua was a breeze) but, there were no shortcuts to it. Like the young eagles that we all were, we all managed to graduate as Mapuans and Mapuans we will all be forever.
After graduation, we considered
Moving fast forward to seize opportunities in various parts of the world. We made life changes to adapt to our challenging careers and we did so with gallantry and perseverance. We have strived for the fame and the glory of the M and the I and the T!
A Texas size invitation to all Mapúans...
In 2009, we will converge to Houston for an international reunion to rekindle friendships, share our experiences, close time gaps, introduce our families, network and learn from one another with the ultimate goal of building much stronger relationships as Mapuans forever.
The Texas Association of Mapua Alumni (TAMA) is extremely proud to be your host. We have planned a variety of sports, networking and other family fun activities. Please join us on March 12-15, 2009 for a TEXAS SIZE Y'ALL MapuaWorld Grand Reunion. Kindest regards and God's blessings.
Very sincerely and on behalf of TAMA,
